LineDrop Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2026
LineDrop helps theme park guests watch ride wait times, show reminders, park plans, and trip days with less time spent staring at a phone. This Privacy Policy explains what information LineDrop collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
This policy is written for LineDrop, available at trylinedrop.app and in the LineDrop iOS app. LineDrop is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Merlin Entertainments, or any other park operator.
Information LineDrop Collects
LineDrop is designed to collect only the information needed to run the app.
App Data Stored on the Device
LineDrop may store the following on the user's device:
- Selected park
- Ride watches and target wait times
- Show reminders
- Trip plans, trip names, trip dates, selected parks, selected rides, and selected shows
- Free access start time
- Purchase access status
- Notification preferences
This information is primarily stored locally on the user's device.
Push Notification Data
If a user enables notifications and watches rides, LineDrop sends the following to the LineDrop backend so closed-app ride alerts can work:
- Apple Push Notification service device token
- Selected ride IDs
- Selected park IDs
- Ride names
- Target wait times
- Whether reopen alerts are enabled
- Basic alert state needed to avoid duplicate notifications
LineDrop uses this information to send notifications such as ride wait drops and reopen alerts.
Sign in with Apple
If a user chooses to connect an Apple account, LineDrop may receive and store:
- Apple user identifier
- Name, if provided by Apple
- Email address or private relay email, if provided by Apple
Sign in with Apple is optional. The app can be used on a device without signing in.
Purchase Information
LineDrop uses Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payments. LineDrop receives transaction and entitlement information from Apple, such as product ID, purchase status, and expiration date, so the app can unlock paid access.
LineDrop does not receive or store credit card numbers.
Live Park Data
LineDrop uses third-party live park data sources, including ThemeParks.wiki, to show wait times, showtimes, and park information. LineDrop may request public park data from those services. LineDrop does not send a user's Apple account information or payment details to those park-data providers.
How LineDrop Uses Information
LineDrop uses information to:
- Show live ride wait times and showtimes
- Send ride drop alerts and reopen alerts
- Send show reminders
- Save trip plans and selected parks
- Manage free access and paid access
- Restore purchases
- Provide support
- Prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical issues
Sharing of Information
LineDrop does not sell personal information.
LineDrop may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, including:
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and In-App Purchases
- Backend hosting and database providers used to run LineDrop's notification service
- Public park-data providers used to retrieve wait times and show information
LineDrop may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of LineDrop, users, or others.
Notifications
LineDrop sends notifications only if the user allows notifications on the device. Users can turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
Ride alerts may be sent from LineDrop's backend so they can arrive even when the app is closed. Show reminders may be scheduled locally by the device.
Data Retention
LineDrop keeps information only as long as reasonably needed to operate the app, provide alerts, support purchases, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
Ride watches are intended to be temporary park-day data and may be cleared automatically. Backend watch data may also expire or be cleaned up to prevent stale alerts.
User Choices
Users can:
- Turn notifications on or off in iOS Settings
- Remove watches and show reminders in the app
- Delete or change trip plans in the app
- Disconnect Sign in with Apple in the app
- Restore purchases through Apple's purchase system
- Delete the app to remove locally stored app data from the device
